Needless to say, I am very impressed with the images that Mandy and I produced in our last shoot.

Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to have one more shoot before my next trip to the hospital.  I fully expect to beat the miniscule odds and survive the operation and would really like to have lots of images to edit during my recovery.  Working on her lovely images would certainly raise anyone's spirits!

.

I also have numerous images of the lovely Jessica to also work on during my rehab.

To have the opportunity to once again work with such a talented young lady, who literally lives right around the corner, is a true blessing.

As I may have said earlier, we had worked together years ago and reunited through a casting call.  To discover that she was withing walking distance was the kind of information that almost makes you want to work with her daily!

And, of course, there is the lovely Sarah Jane, aka Wonderhussy.  She also allowed me to shoot with her with the understanding that most of the images would be edited during my recovery.  It is difficult not to want to dive into every image of this sweet friend that has worked with me numerous times.

At any rate, my surgical date is in the system, but not yet finalized.  If all goes well, I should only be in the hospital for a week (its pretty major work) and then 5 to 7 weeks of recovery and I'll be once again capturing more images.

I'll do my best to get back here before the big cut.  See you all soon.

The images of Mandy, which I personally believe to be awesome remind me of a recent conversation I had with a friend of ours.  We were invited over for dinner and upon our arrival, our hostess commented on how much she liked my images and that I must have an incredible camera.  I said nothing at the time.  Upon finishing dinner, I remarked that the food was delicious and that she must have an incredible oven.  Apparently, mediocre cooks are not as sensitive as mediocre photographers, as she completely missed the point.  At that moment, I learned not  to compare my work to baked chicken.

Well, I came home and went back to work on the images of Mandy.  I kept saying to myself that photography was not so much about the equipment as the eye of the artist.  That, as Ansel Adams said, the "negative" was just the score of the symphony, and the image was the performance.  And then it hit me.  There is a third element... the subject.  I am so honored to have worked with so many wonderful models, friends, acquaintances and even strangers that have allowed my work to impress a housewife who believes that is was just a camera that created the images.

I owe it all to the inspiration my subjects have given me.  However, there are some very special ladies who deserve recognition.  Melissa, Mandy, Sarah Jane, Ariel, you are all defintely top tier people.

So, while I am proud of the work I produce, I feel I must honor the wonderful ladies that allow me to create the images and develop the concepts that I seek.

As I approach my eighth very major surgery since November of 2010, I consider myself not only lucky, but honored to have had the opportunity to have worked with so many wonderful ladies.

Here are some images of them, and while I'm sure I will miss some, that does not mean that they are not in my heart.

To all the ladies I have worked with, you know I have the utmost respect for you and I sincerely thank you for the opportunity to have created such lovely images.
Should things not work out with my next surgery, please know that you are all very special.
Should things work out well, all of the above still applies.
Thank you ladies, for making my camera look so incredible.

Sorry I have been away so long. The medical crap goes on and on. However, I have been able to keep on shooting! I recently had the wonderful opportunity to work again with the fabulous Mandy! We last shot just over four years ago and then she left the Las Vegas area. Upon her return, we mutually decided that another session was in our best interests. Well, mostly mine, lol.

It is great to have her back in the Vegas area. Her style, class, grace and charm always make for lovely images! In fact, her book is still available! Check it out and get your copy now!

Also, there has been some renewed interest in the book Sarah Jane and I created a few years back when she was modeling as Brandi Bottoms. It contains lots of images of a very special lady and imminent superstar on the Las Vegas scene!
